How much does a professional website cost in Switzerland (real prices, 2026)

“How much does a website cost?” is like asking “how much does a car cost” — it depends on what you need. But there’s an honest answer, and that’s what I’ll give you here: real prices, with no “contact us to find out” hidden behind a form.
What determines the price
Four things affect the price more than anything else:
- Number of pages. A one-page landing page is much faster to build than a business website with 5+ sections.
- Languages. Every extra language means more content to write, review and maintain — in Valais, this matters (more on this in the next article).
- Features. A contact form is simple. An online shop with payments, stock and invoices is a project of weeks, not days.
- Timeline. Needing something ready in 3 days costs more than having a month to spare — that’s extra, concentrated work.
Typical prices, no beating around the bush
These are my own fixed prices — I’m using them here as a real reference, not a vague “from”:
| Site type | Price | Timeline | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Landing page (1 page) | CHF 2'400 | ~7 days | Launching an idea, campaign or service quickly |
| Business website (up to 5 pages) | CHF 4'900 | ~1 month | A serious local business, with SEO and Google Business |
| Online shop / custom application | from CHF 9'800 | up to 3 months | E-commerce, dashboards, integrations |
On top of this, if you want, maintenance and hosting (CHF 95–290/month) — so you never have to think about backups, SSL or technical updates.
Why “cheap” can turn out expensive
A generic website builder or a rushed site looks like a saving at first. In practice, it costs you in other ways: without SEO from the start, it’s harder to show up on Google later; without a structure built for multiple languages, adding languages later means redoing work; and without someone responsible for maintenance, a technical problem can leave the site offline with no one to fix it. The cost of doing it right the first time is usually lower than the cost of fixing it afterwards.
How to save without cutting corners
If the budget is tight right now, the smart way to save isn’t picking the cheapest option — it’s picking the right scope. A well-made landing page focused on one goal (bookings, contacts, a campaign) costs far less than a full business website and already covers the essentials. You grow into more pages and more languages once the business already justifies that investment.
What if you already have a site?
You don’t always need to start over. Sometimes what’s missing is SEO, multilingual content, or just well-run ad management — I always do a free analysis before suggesting anything.
